A cultura Pop francesa não é muito conhecida por aqui. Não só por aqui….tirando os franceses, acho que só os muito interessados sabem alguma coisa sobre a cultura pop dos anos 60 e 70 na França (ok, tirando as musiquinhas francesas que todo mundo conhece..tá,tá).
A idéia da expo “Made in France, a French pop phenomenon”, portanto, é apresentar ao grande público um pouco do Pop Francês naquelas décadas através de 9 temas: música pop, cinema, trilhas sonoras, tv e publicidade, moda, design de produto, artes visuais, sexo, drogas e erotismo, clubs e bares. Artistas como Serge Gainsbourg, Michel Polnareff, Jean-Christophe Averty, François de Roubaix, Nicolas Schöffer, Michel Magne, Pierre Cardin, Michel Legrand, Jean-Claude Vannier, Pierre Paulin, Olivier Mourgue, Jack Arel, André Courrèges, Paco Rabanne e Guy Peellaert serão retratados através de suas obras.
A expo vai abrir em Maio deste ano em Londres e vai viajar pelo mundo…New York, L.A, Tokyo, Paris, Rome e Berlin.

French pop culture from the 60’s and 70’s never achieved much notoriety out of France, except for a few songs, actresses, fashion designers etc. The idea of the exhibition “Made in France, a French pop phenomenon” therefore is to present to an international public, the French pop culture in those decades through nine themes: pop music, cinema, soundtracks & library music, TV and media, fashion, product design, visual arts, sex, éroticism and drugs, clubs and bars. Renowned artists such as Serge Gainsbourg, Michel Polnareff, Jean-Christophe Averty, François de Roubaix, Nicolas Schöffer, Michel Magne, Pierre Cardin, Michel Legrand, Jean-Claude Vannier, Pierre Paulin, Olivier Mourgue, Jack Arel, André Courrèges, Paco Rabanne e Guy Peellaert will be portrayed through their art work.
The exhibition will open in May 2008. It will debut in London, and wil travel to New York, LA, Tokyo, Paris, Rome, and Berlin.

Hoje em Barcelona foi aberta a exposição “Gráfica Iraní Contemporánea”. A expo mostra a evolução da sociedade Iraniana através das artes gráficas. São 50 cartazes feitos entre 1970 a 2006 por 31 designers. As imagens são bastante atraentes, e apesar da língua ser uma grande barreira, as formas orgânicas dos tipos, as cores e a simplicidade dos trabalhos chamam a atenção.
Um dos autores mais conhecidos é o designer Reza Abedini, nascido em Tehran, onde tem um estúdio próprio.

The exhibition of “Irani Contemporary Graphic arts” opened today in Barcelona. It shows the evolution of the Irani society through the graphic arts. There is a showing of 50 pieces done in the 1970 up to 2006 by 31 designers. The work is really impressive, besides the language barrier. The organic forms of the type, the colours and simplicity of the work is the true eye candy.
Reza Abedini, born in Teheran, is one of the most well known designers in the showing and he has develop his unique style.
